The #1 Ingredient for Glowing Sensitive Skin
We’ve talked a lot about skin care on this blog and I have to admit it is one of my favorite subjects. You see the skin is like the canvas for all the beauty looks you can imagine… and those looks are only as good as the skin underneath it so I love bringing you guys some bomb skin care tips.
Polyhydroxy Acids What is It and Why You Need It
By now most of us are pretty aware of Alpha Hydroxy Acid and Beta Hydroxy Acid their skin benefits, but a new skin care ingredient has made it’s way on the scene and it’s about to pop all over the place, so let’s talk about it. Polyhydroxy Acid is like AHA 2.0, it’s the second generation of AHA’s that is perfect for chemical exfoliation but more sensitive than it’s older sisters, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. PHAs gently remove dead skin cells to allow your skin to appear smoother and more even in tone. Polyhydroxy-acid molecules also attract water molecules, which in turn moisturize your skin. PHA’s also help to reverse visible signs of aging and unlike AHA’s it doesn’t increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun, although you should wear sunscreen anyway.

HAs are safe for everyone, including people with sensitive skin, rosacea, or eczema, because ultimately, PHAs are a repairative ingredient. In fact, if your skin can’t tolerate AHAs at all but you really want to try a chemical exfoliant, PHAs are a terrific place to start.
